Shadow
Streak
Video
For years, we have been setting up motion sensors in the basement in an attempt to detect activity. Often, the motion sensors would trip without any obvious cause. No one would be in the basement, all of the basement windows were blocked off to prevent any light from coming in from outside. Nothing physical would move, and yet the motion sensors would be tripped. Years later, I was watching this video tape and discovered what was tripping the motion sensors. Watch closely. You see Jean and Dave go up the basement steps after setting up the motion sensors. Just as they go up the steps and enter the upstairs kitchen, one of the sensors is triggered. You can hear it go, "Sensor three." No one was in the basement, but if you watch very closely, you can see the center of the video darken as a VERY quick dark streak moves in front of the camera lens. These quick-moving shadows were causing the motion sensors to go off. What are the shadows? We have no idea. |
